Topic ONe - people and Plants
The Plant Doctor - Mini Research project. In your group you will be assigned to one of the following plants. You need to make a pamphlet which could be found in a health store or doctor's office providing information about the healing properties of your plant.
Where is it found in the world? What is it used for? [What conditions can it treat?] What part of the plant is used [all or just a portion of it] Is it used as it is or made into a pill, tea, rub etc? How much does it cost to purchase at a store? How long has it been used as a medicine? Be sure to have a neat title and picture of the plant as it naturally is and what it looks like as a medicine if it looks different. Plants and products we useSome plants are used on a daily basis in many parts of our lives.
With your partner prepare a quick presentation using either a slide show or poster to inform the class about the many daily uses your plant provides us. |
